The table is set and the food is ready, There’s a gift for you on the floor, I’d make it all extra-special If we had Christmas together once more. I’ve got this faux-leather jacket, It fits me loose and runs too hot Still, I’ve kept it all these years, A piece of us beckoning from beyond the closet door. The house is clean, the spread is prepared, I feel like the odd man out. Under cover of darkness, you and I sneak out to the park, A flame that burned bright until it didn’t. I’ve got this faux-leather memory, It hangs around and colors my world Still, I’ve kept it all these months, A beautiful banner, but one I shouldn’t unfurl.

Our Space 03:38
Look after our space and make our streets as beautiful as one another Look after our space and make our streets as beautiful as one another Look after our space and make our streets as beautiful as one another A walk in space and more, take my hand and come to me Pre-Chorus You took me some day When I needed space Chorus And when there is no space I have found my space I have found my space I have found my space Verse 2 And then we stay, stay day to night with our solar lust We jam, we jam, in the planet And at night the temple go up in its crown Divine space, for all the kings and queens Pre-Chorus Take me to the space of love Take me to the space of love Chorus And when there is no space I have found my space I have found my space I have found my space Bridge And so much love, and so much life gone by And so much time, and so much space Chorus And when there is no space I have found my space I have found my space I have found my space

(These words were typed into the Typatone website to produce the song you hear) Before I concluded this little experiment, I challenged myself to make something beautiful free of copyright that also used my musical sense. This piece is the union of my two great loves: writing and music. Hopefully my other loves enjoy it too. Limited though it may be, this is the best tool I have right now. The potential for computers and artificial intelligence to liberalize the means of music-making so it is available to everyone that has the natural urge to make it is as limitless as our imaginations. Thank you for believing in me. Peace and love, C.W. Franz + Typatone

about

This album represents my first foray into the strange and exciting world of computer music. Each of the songs here were generated by artificial intelligence. For tracks 1 and 10, I used the website Typatone, which maps each letter you type to a that you type to a melodious sound. Tracks 2-4 were algorithmically generated by the website Computoser, according to various instrument and mood parameters. Tracks 5-6 were "improvised," or generated, by Musenet based on the styles of Bach and Beethoven, respectively. Tracks 7-9 were created by feeding lyrics into a website called Melobytes, which then came up with a vocal melody and simple or full band arrangement (depending on whether I used Melobytes or Melobytes Pro). Track 9's lyrics were written by These Lyrics Do Not Exist, a website which generates original lyrics based on a prompt. What you hear is solely the product of the artificial intelligence and has not been "humanized" in any way. The cover art is “The New Maestro” generated by the WOMBO Dream AI.
