The sea holds a secret
A God amongst Gods.
Order and chaos rest within
Beneath the brooding waves
The foam is no comfort to the beast
Two minutes, a thousand years, eons of torment in patience
It schemes to take back what it is owed
Sensing our coldness, our sin, our hubris and our lust.
Ready to wipe away the dregs of modernity.
“In his house at R’lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.”

Numb to these infinities,
my mind reaches beyond
In the unkempt wildness of space
basic sanity struggles to hold on
I see a planetoid, habitable yet void of life
Too lonely for to flower, too strange to stay the night
The lush meadows, stunning as they may seem,
Linger always out of reach in my aching, floating dream
I will find it, it will take time (X2)
